A neighbourhood policing team in north Dorset is receiving increased reports of dogs worrying sheep.
Officers are to patrol around the footpaths of Sherborne to speak with dog owners and remind them of their responsibility to keep their dogs under control.
If you’re a dog owner and you let your dog off the lead and it worries livestock, it is an an offence that carries a maximum punishment of six months imprisonment and/or a £100 fine.
