The Right Revd Karen Gorham said: “This is an annual pilgrimage on St Aldhelm’s day with me as Bishop of Sherborne. Aldhelm was the first Bishop of Sherborne. We meet at the Car Park at 10am to walk at 10.30am to the Chapel for a short service of Communion at 12 noon, and then have a picnic lunch. Everyone is welcome to come along. It is an opportunity for people from various places across Dorset to come together and celebrate a local saint and to get to know one another.”
St Aldhelm’s Day will take place on Saturday, May 25.
