Camp Bestival is in need of more volunteers (and there’s free entry on offer).

There’s just over two months left to go until the festival is held at Lulworth Castle.

This year’s performers include Nile Rodgers & Chic, Lewis Capaldi, Annie Mac, Jess Glynne and The Human League.

The festival’s organisers are now looking for some extra hands to help out at the three-day event.

A spokesman for Camp Bestival said: “When volunteering with the Camp Bestival team you’ll get to see behind the scenes, gain valuable experience for your CV, be provided with entry to the festival, lots of free time, you’ll make new friends whilst volunteering, get access to staff camping, cafe, toilets and showers, and most importantly have an amazing time you’ll never forget.”

As a volunteer, people will have the opportunity to get involved with lots of different areas of Camp Bestival helping festival goers to make the most out of their weekend. Some of the things they’ll get to do includes:

• Providing information including directions, facilities, and performances, to ensure the festival goers have the best weekend possible

• Working in the festival’s arenas and on wristband exchanges

• Being proactive and alert to any potential problems e.g. a build-up of litter or faulty facilities

• Promoting crime awareness and crime prevention to the public

• Working with onsite teams to ensure medical, fire and security issues are dealt with promptly and safely

• Helping to prevent overcrowding and on hand to monitor crowd safety

• Assisting the public to create an environment where they feel safe.

Camp Bestival takes place from July 25 until July 28 this year.
