Dorset and Witlshire Fire and Rescue Service
A fire was started in a bin due to a disposable BBQ.
The incident happened last night at the skatepark on Portland near Victoria Square.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident at 8.47pm.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “Upon arrival crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
“Minor inspection revealed the cause to be a disposable BBQ. As summer season approaches please be mindful of how you dispose of your BBQ equipment, these kind of incidents are easily avoidable.”
