Police have been cracking down on anti-social behaviour in Dorchester.
Officers were patrolling the town yesterday morning (Tuesday, May 21) when they dealt with a number of incidents.
A man was moved on from the town centre for being abusive towards staff in some of the town’s shops.
A spokesman for Dorchester Police said: “Officers were called to Dorchester Town centre this morning to deal with a male who was being abusive towards staff in some of the shops on South Street. The male had been drinking and was abusive towards officers when they arrived. He was asked to leave the town centre which he did. Officers took the opportunity to do some foot patrol in the town centre and engage with the public.”
Officers later arrested a man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
The police spokesman said: “They then responded to a report of drug activity in the area of River Walks. A male was located a short while later and arrested for being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
“PCSO's were out and about all day all over the town and what a lovely day it was to be out on patrol.”
