A dog had to be rescued from Radipole Lake in Weymouth after becoming stuck in the water reeds.
The incident happened just before 8.30pm last night.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “One crew from Weymouth was mobilised to Radipole Lake last night to reports of a dog stuck deep in the water reeds. The wading team from Bridport was requested to attend but before they could arrive firefighters were able to effect a rescue.”
Crews returned to their stations by 8.45pm.
