Police say the message is clear – drug dealing won’t be tolerated in Bridport.
It comes after officers carried out a drugs warrant at an address in the North Allington area yesterday.
Officers descended on an address at around 6pm.
During a search of the premises, a large quantity of suspected class A and class B drugs were seized along with a substantial amount of cash.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
He is currently helping officers with their enquires.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “Bridport’s Neighbourhood Policing Team are sending out a clear and concise message that drug dealing will not be tolerated in Bridport.”
He added: “The neighbourhood policing team are always gathering intelligence regarding drug dealers and will act on this intelligence promptly. These recent warrants should be sending out the message to anyone involved in drugs supply in the town that we are focussed in protecting our community and tackling the suspected supply and production of drugs in the town. If you have any information regarding alleged drug-related issues in your area, please contact us online at https://www.dorset.police.uk/do-it-online/ or on 101.”
