COUNTY: Firefighters were called to a fire in the open in Buckland Newton.
The incident happened on Friday just before 22pm.
A crew from Sherborne Fire Station was called to assist Sturminster Newton Fire Station who were already at the scene.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Team said: “Once in attendance we managed a water relay for the Incident, where we refill our appliance at the nearest hydrant, and then shuttle it to the appliances and crews at the incident scene, in rural areas this procedure can be key to keeping water at the incident ground. Please remember, when being approached by emergency services, always try to manoeuvre safely and calmly. Just stopping where you are can help us more than reducing your speed.?”
