Work has almost finished on a make over for the paddling pool at Greenhill Gardens play area, Weymouth.
The project has involved removing and re-laying slabs where it has been possible to do so and cleaning and refurbishing both areas as well as checking for safety.
A new liner for the pool has also been fitted.
The area is popular with children during the warmer weather. Around £8,500 of the cost has come from a lottery grant.
Greenhill Play Gardens is leased by Weymouth Town Council to the Greenhill Community Trust.
The trust has received the funding for refurbishing the paddling pool and sandpit area as well as having the lower tier chalets in Greenhill Gardens decorated.
Andy Hutchings of the Greenhill Community Trust said: “The directors of the Greenhill Community Trust are grateful for a £8,500 grant from the Heritage Lotter Fund to refurbish the paddling pool at Greenhill play area.
“It will bring the paddling pool back into use and will be a great asset to the children of the community.”
