A coffee bar and shop has been requested for Langley House, The Street, Charmouth.
It will involve a change of use for an existing retail business which will continue alongside the new use.
The application is expected to be decided by a Dorset Council planning officer with public comments on the application open until July 9th.
The proposal has been submitted by Mrs Madga Perrett who says she wants to sell hot and cold drinks and pre-packed food to take away as well as continue the existing business.
