There’s just two weeks left to vote for a west Dorset project in the Calor Rural Community Fund.
Members of the Puncknowle, Swyre and West Bexington Village Hall Management Committee are applying for £5,000 to carry out urgent maintenance works on the building.
The committee has developed a long-term maintenance plan that will be carried out in phases as funds become available. The first phases of works deal with the most urgent maintenance issues.
This project is looking to tackle the second phase of maintenance works which will include external works to the drains and walls to resolve damp issues and protect the fabric of the building and works in the kitchen and storage areas including, installation of a ventilation and extraction system to resolve condensation issues, replacement of asbestos panelled fire doors, replacement lighting and redecoration.
