A YOUNG horse rider was found dead at his home, an inquest has heard.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances following the death of talented rider William George Paddy, who was 14.

At an inquest held at Bournemouth coroner's court on Thursday afternoon, it was heard that the teenager was last seen by his mum Lesley Buchanan at 10.30pm on May 28, when he went to bed.

William lived in North Instow, Harmans Cross.

Coroner's officer Phillipa Morgan told the short hearing police were called to reports a teenage boy had been found unresponsive on May 29.

William was formally identified by Ms Buchanan at Poole Hospital.

Dorset coroner Rachael Griffin said it is not yet known if William was known to community mental health services.

The inquest was adjourned, with a full hearing set to take place on March 11 2020.
