DORSET Police’s Rural Crime Team has asked members of the public to report suspicious behaviour to them after a poaching incident on a farm in Dorset.

Over the evening of June 13-14, a farm in the West Knighton area was the victim of poaching. There was considerable damage to the crops and a baby deer and badger were found dead.

A spokesman said: “It is important that if anything suspicious is seen that members of the public contact the police on 101.

“If you believe people are in the act of poaching please call 999. Poaching has a major financial impact on the landowners.”
