I read recently that Dorset Council has declared a ‘Climate Emergency’.
I have been considering booking another holiday in the Weymouth area, where my family and I have enjoyed many happy times.
Alarmed by the decision of the council I wrote to them to ask the nature of their emergency.
I received a reply from the Environmental Health Department that did not allay my fears and I decided it is safer to avoid Dorset for the foreseeable future.
On reflection it is probably in the interests of the people of the county that I do not travel from Lancashire and cause the emission of the harmful CO2 that seems to be causing so much disruption.
