Water coming through the ceiling of a property resulted in firefighters being called out.

The incident happened at a property in Sherborne on Tuesday at just after 10pm. There were fears the water was affecting the electrics of the house.

A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “One crew was mobilised to reports of internal flooding.

“Crews quickly booked in attendance to find water coming through the ceiling.

“The water was isolated at the mains. Water was also affecting the electrics, so this was isolated too. After helping the occupants move some furniture and possessions, the incident was left with the homeowner.”

The crew returned to their station at 10.30pm.
