A total of 1,500 girls and young women – including around 400 from Dorset – took over a theme park in a mass Girlguiding day out.
Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers from across the south west took part in a fun-filled takeover of Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey.
Organisers said it was a great opportunity for the girls to meet other units and make life-long memories with their friends.
The girls had plenty of adventures despite the rain, conquering fears on rollercoasters, learning about animals and making friends. They also learnt valuable skills such as map reading and leadership.
More than 300 Guides and Rangers took the chance to camp overnight, extending the adventure.
Ella, of 3rd Sherborne Brownies, said: “We are girls, we are brave, we can go on all the scary rides!”
Girlguiding South West England would like to thank all of the leaders and helpers who made the day a tremendous success.
