I AGREE that help from the Government with investment in seaside towns would help regenerate Weymouth, but please no more arcades and gambling machines.
What is needed is undercover attractions eg Climbing wall, soft play and best of all a splash pool in the town.
Weymouth basked in sunshine last year with the sands filled with happy holidaymakers.
This year the weather has not been settled at all and holidaymakers are looking for something to do, especially with children clutching buckets and spades wandering around the town.
The last thing the town needs are more hotels especially at the Pavilion end, so there is a ready made space to be developed sensitively to the benefit of everyone.
Think again councillors before it's too late.
