I lived in both Dorchester and Piddlehinton years ago and enjoy my annual visits back here from Australia.
The town looks splendid with lots of flowering baskets and I think the market is even better than when I frequented it many years ago. Of course this wonderful weather helps.
Sad to see quite a few shops closing down. If you don't use them, you lose them.
We are, however, dismayed at the state of the roads, not just here but all over the UK.
It's a pity the Government doesn't use the fuel tax actually on the roads.
Many road signs are obliterated by vegetation too.
On the plus side, it is wonderful to see wild flowers on unsprayed verges.
