Two people have been taken to hospital following a car crash on the A354.
It occurred north of Thornicombe near Blandford earlier this afternoon.
There are reports that the crash involved four vehicles.
It closed the road between the Tesco roundabout in Blandford and the junction to Winterborne Kingston.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called to reports of a collision at 12.29pm.
"We attended along with the fire and ambulance services."
Police officers helped with road closures.
These were lifted at 3pm and traffic is moving again.
South Western Ambulance Service have confirmed two people have been taken to hospital.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "Two patients were treated at the scene by ambulance teams, one female and one male, and they were then taken to hospital."
They were assisted by the fire service.
A spokesman for DWFRS said no one was trapped inside any of the vehicles, but firefighters assisted with casualty care.
The vehicles have since been recovered.
