A crash on the A35 Puddletown Bypass between a car and a motorcycle left one person needing treatment to "serious" injuries.
According to reports, the accident happened between Puddletown and Stinsford and affected traffic between Bere Regis and Dorchester.
Police were called at 3.43pm after a crash on the westbound carriageway.
Ambulance attended to treat one person who had serious injuries, but these were not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
The road is now reopen.
