Today marks six years to the day since the grand reopening of one of Dorset's most iconic venues - the Pavilion Theatre in Weymouth.
Phil Say, Managing Director of the Pavilion, said: "We signed the lease on July 5 but it took us a few days to find out which keys opened which doors and which switches turned on which lights. We officially opened on July 13.
"My favourite memories are the lots and lots of sold out shows and all of the fantastic, colourful pantomimes.
"We have had some great acts down the years, like 10CC and Jimmy Carr, and we are going from strength to strength. Hopefully we will keep growing and getting busier and busier."
The anniversary coincides with the seafood festival so, in keeping with this theme, the theatre is staging performances of 'I am Turtle'.
Mr Say said he wants to do bigger shows since the recent renovation of the building's roof and windows and installation of the hugely popular exterior lighting system, which will be lighting up as a rainbow for the Pride celebrations.
