The A353 at Osmington Hill just outside Weymouth was blocked due to a crash.
All lanes have reopened but there is slow traffic in the area from White Horse (Sutton Poyntz) to Shortlake Lane (Osmington Hill).
This is affecting travel from Preston to Pooxwell.
Police received multiple calls at 12.18pm to reports of a crash between a red Jaguar and a Vauxhall Vivaro van.
There were no injuries and the road was officially reopened at 1.58pm.
