FINANCIAL help has been given by Dorchester Town Council towards the cost of a 'plastic free' picnic in the Borough Gardens at the end of the month.
Councillors voted £250 towards the estimated £1,100 cost of putting on the event which will run from 11am until 3pm on July 27th. It is being organised by teacher Ed Moore from Damers School who has been behind the 'plastic free Dorchester' campaign.
