A seagull has been rescued from the roof of the Post Office.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Rax Lane, Bridport, at around 11am yesterday (Monday) by the RSPCA after a seagull had become trapped in netting on the Post Office roof.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: "After unscrewing the anchor points of the netting, one crew member crawled to the seagull using a triple extension ladder to spread the weight over the fragile roof.
"The bird was then freed, placed in a box and handed to the RSPCA officer."
