A paraglider has been injured after crashing onto a beach.
Emergency services were called to Eype beach at about 6.30pm tonight (Wednesday).
Coastguard teams from West Bay and Lyme Regis attended the scene, preparing a landing site for Devon and Cornwall Air Ambulance after reports of a downed paraglider with possible back injuries.
The injured paraglider was transferred to Dorset County Hospital for ongoing care.
A spokesman for West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team said: "We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
"Have a fantastic time on the coast this summer but if you find yourself in difficulty or see something which gives you cause for concern, do not hesitate to call the coastguard."
