THIEVES who struck at a farm have stolen a quad bike and a shepherd's crook, among other items.

Police are investigating after a green Honda quad bike was stolen from a barn as well as a shepherd’s crook and an orange Stihl petrol strimmer.

A police spokesman said the burglary occurred on the night of Wednesday July 17, some time after 8.45pm at a farm in the Maiden Newton area, west Dorset.

It had a broken rear light, loading gates, green tape around the electrics, a dent on the mudguard and a dent on the left hand side of the removable roof.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police Constable Mark Powell, of Dorchester police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who has any information that can assist our investigation.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has come across a quad bike or trailer matching the descriptions given or any of the other items that were taken.”
