A DORSET hospice has accepted a cheque for £1,500, following the inaugural Dorset Conquest 10k and half marathon.
Held at East Farm in Winterbourne Whitechurch, the event was organised by Monica and Rupert Tory in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare Trust and also included an evening party with live music from Six Bullets and Rebuke, alongside a Grand Draw, with prizes donated by a range of local businesses.
The next two events to be held at East Farm will be Farm Run, a 5k family friendly run around the farm, at 5pm on Saturday, July 20 and then again on Saturday, August 17. Farm Run entries will be taken on the day from 4pm. Entry is £5 per person, with a family discount available.
