Changes are to be made for a seven-home development at Charity Farm, Litton Cheney, following concerns from neighbours.
An application for six new homes and the conversion of a redundant farm building at the Main Street site has already been approved.
A new application to Dorset Council asks to remove the proposed biomass heating unit from the southern boundary of the site after concerns from neighbours about the risk of pollution from the plant.
A letter to the council says that the developer will now omit the plant house on the southern boundary of the site and add a 1.8m close-boarded timber fence along the perimeter.
Hot water and spatial heating for the new homes will now be provided by electric source heat pumps instead of the biomass boiler.
The application is open for public comment and will be decided by a planning officer.
