AN 11-year-old boy was arrested after an attack on a PCSO in Weymouth.
The officer was taken to Dorset County Hospital after he was reportedly punched in the face a number of times and was treated for injuries to his mouth.
At about 6pm on Monday, July 22 a community support officer was called by members of the public to assist with a reported altercation involving a group of people in the Brunswick Terrace area of Weymouth.
The PCSO was allegedly assaulted and a 29-year-old man from Berkshire was arrested on suspicion of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, criminal damage and racially aggravated abuse. He is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
An 11-year-old boy from Gloucester was arrested later that evening on suspicion of assaulting an emergency services worker and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
