McDonald’s customers in Dorset will have another half-hour to enjoy the breakfast menu, the company has announced - but eateries in Weymouth and Dorchester have been snubbed.

The chain has been trialling an extension to its breakfast service hours, meaning hungry visitors can get their hands on a McMuffin until 11am.

Now ten per cent of McDonald’s restaurants in the UK will be offering the extended breakfast.

The Dorset eateries offering breakfast until 11am are: Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth; Boscombe; Christchurch; Ferndown; Poole’s Wessex Gate Retail Park; St Leonards; Asda Bournemouth; Alder Road, Branksome; Rownhams Services southbound and northbound; A31 Picket Post; and Poole’s Manning’s Heath.

The two McDonald's branches in Weymouth and the branch just outside Dorchester were not chosen to trial the extended breakfast.

Breakfast has been served until 10.30am at McDonald’s for 25 years. However, officials at the chain say the pilot to extend breakfast hours has been a ‘success’. Those wishing to order a Big Mac will have to wait until 11am.
