A CRUISE ship with a difference has arrived back into Portland Port.

AIDAura is unique on the outside and the inside, with her cheerfully painted bow - and robot members of staff attending to passengers every need.

The 'Pepper robots' speak three languages - English, German and Italian - and they can even interpret human emotions by analysing voice tones and facial expressions.

The AIDA fleet rolled out the latest humanoid cyborg technology in 2016.

The robots greet and guide passengers aboard, helping them throughout the cruise by providing information about onboard facilities - such as the three luxury dining rooms and health facilities - as well as shore excursions and tours.

The ship has its own theatre and even a 'beach' - complete with palm trees, artificial rocks, volleyball and basketball courts.

She is from Germany and has maximum capacity of 1,266, a length of 202.8m and weights 42,289 tons.
