Car lovers - there's some news bound to get your engine revving

This year sees the return of the Dorset Echo NEW REG Exhibition, and we will be bringing two events to Weymouth and Dorchester again this summer.

The exhibition offers readers an insight into the latest bikes, cars, models design features, test drives and more.

Visitors are invited to head along to the event at Brewery Square in Dorchester on Saturday, August 17 and at the Jubilee Clock on Weymouth Esplanade on Saturday, August 24.

The NEW REG exhibition will see car and bike retailers from across the local area display their latest vehicles for readers to discover, experience and even road test, subject to availability.

The event, which has been popular in previous years, is expected to welcome hundreds of people hoping to take the first look at the new car or bike of their dreams.

Taking place over two weekends, it provides the ultimate opportunity to view a variety of different models.

The fair was designed to give readers the opportunity to view the latest car and bike models all in one place without the hassle of driving around to the various different garages. For the exhibitors, it is the chance to display their product in a prime location and to show the vehicles at their very best.

It’s not too late for car and bike retailer businesses to snap up a space. To book your stall or for more information call the Dorset Echo team on 01305 830930.

Our Exhibitors

Dorset Echo:

VAUXHALL– Lanehouse with sites in Weymouth and Bridport will be using the Dorset Echo New Reg Event to showcase a selection of vehicles from the Vauxhall range.  With the excitement for the new 69 plate registrations in September growing there are some amazing offers including £4,000 guaranteed scrappage allowance or £3,000 above your part exchange value on selected vehicles.

The Viva has been built around Vauxhall's latest 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. In this guise, it makes 75PS worth of power, which is probably about adequate for a citycar. More engines may be announced in time, but the powerplant requirements for a small city scoot like this are usually quite simple. Models of this sort don't cover enough miles for a diesel engine to be worth fitting and lighter is better if you want the sort of jinky manoeuvrability delivered by the best urban runabouts.

Dorset Echo:

SUZUKI – The Suzuki brand continues to go from strength to strength and vehicles from the Suzuki family will also be on display.  With discounts available of up to £3,250, 0% APR Representative and zero customer deposit on selected models – there’s bound to be something to suit everyone’s taste and pocket.

The Baleno is designed to compete in the same class as Suzuki's existing Swift but offers a very different ownership proposition. Riding on an all new platform with two clever petrol engines, is it different enough to succeed?

The truth of the matter is that the Swift and Baleno are different enough to ensure they are unlikely to steal sales from each other. While the Swift is a funky little city car, the Baleno is that little bit bigger and more mature.

Dorset Echo:

ISUZU- Lanehouse will shortly be celebrating their first anniversary as an Isuzu dealer and have had a fantastic first year.  Perfectly placed for the local market and planning to grow further this coming year they will also be displaying Isuzu Pick-Up .  Latest offers including the D-Max Yukon on Business Contract Hire for just £199 per month (+VAT) plus initial rental.
