1 Budding dance fans can learn new moves at Dancing on the Terraces outside Pavilion Dance. Tomorrow night between 7pm and 9pm people can attempt to master the Ceilidh, while on Saturday night people can try their hand at the Charleston. No experience is necessary and the events are free.

2 Poole’s weekly summer fireworks bonanza continues to light up the skies every Thursday night until August 29. The free Rockley’s Summer Spectacular event starts at 7pm with family entertainment and children’s activities ahead of a fireworks finale at 10pm.

3 Now cancelled due to weather: Fireworks fans will also be able to see Bournemouth’s free display tomorrow night (Friday) near Bournemouth Pier at 10pm. The display, which takes place every Friday night, runs until August 23 with more fireworks taking place on August 30 and 31 during Bournemouth Air Festival.

5 Foodies should head to Lymington Seafood Festival, in support of the RNLI, a free event at Bath Road Park on Saturday and Sunday, featuring 90 local artisan producers, live music and some of the region’s top chefs in the demonstration kitchen. Gates open 11am – 8pm Saturday and 11am – 6pm Sunday.

6 The Burned Out Festival 2019 is on Saturday from 2pm at Anvil Rockbar, Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth. All profits go to the charity Teddy20 which aims to provide emotional and financial support to children and young people suffering with and undergoing treatment for cancer.The music line-up includes: Laika, Evertim Delaire the Liar, The Decoy, Floorboards and My Only and more. 7 Bisterne Scarecrow Festival 2019 takes place from Sunday until Monday August 26. Organisers hope to have a lovely selection of scarecrows again around the village and surrounding area for you to find by car or by bike. Teas, coffees and cake will be available in the hall at selected times. Maps will be £1 available from Dragon Cottages (opposite the hall), Ringwood Gateway, Texaco Garage, Crow Farm Shop and Tyrrells Ford.

8 Mudeford RNLI Fun Day is on Sunday between 11am and 6pm at Mudeford Quay. This free family-friendly event features a variety of activities and displays. One of the highlights is the raft race where teams compete in self-built rafts down the infamous Mudeford Run. RNLI volunteers will also be on-hand to answer any questions and perform lifeboat displays, whilst The Lightning Bolts army parachute display team will join the HM Coastguard helicopter for air displays. Families can see live entertainment provided by Hoburne Entertainment, explore a funfair and enjoy a wide range of locally-sourced food and drinks.
