The fireworks display will go ahead as planned tonight on Weymouth seafront.
The event will get underway at 9.30pm.
There was some concern that the fireworks display might not go-ahead following yesterday’s stormy weather.
But a post on Weymouth Town Council’s Facebook page last night said: “The fireworks are going ahead. We’re working closely with all our partners to keep an eye on things and the wind should be dropping this evening.
“Keep any eye on our social media just in case anything changes.”
Tonight visitors and residents will also have the chance to enter the Seafront Summer Fireworks Competition.
The competition is free to enter, just visit Alexandra Gardens before the display.
