After a fascinating visit to Weymouth’s very own Tudor House, I walked past our town’s Georgian Assembly Rooms and was amazed to see grass growing on the roof.
Curtains were hanging down and the whole building had a sad, uncared for look – this is disgraceful for such an important historical building in Weymouth.
Who is responsible for its upkeep and care?
This is such an important addition to our historic heritage and would undoubtedly add to visitor interest (especially for Americans on the visiting cruise ships). How can it have been left to deteriorate like this?
Come on Dorset Council step up to the plate and help us preserve such an important part of our heritage.
