A Park District take-away is to be converted back to housing.
Dorset Council has given permission for a change of use for Wok Express at 59 Park Street, Weymouth to residential.
The application says the conversion will see the removal of the shopfront and associated signs and the a new window fitted to reflect the design and style of the building.
“The proposed development makes a positive contribution to the character and appearance of the area reinvigorating a neglected and empty property into a family home in a sustainable town centre location,” said a report to the council.
The council has been told that the take-away has not been trading ‘for some time.’
Weymouth town councillors raised no objection to the proposal.
