A group of youngsters tried to break into the old ferry terminal in Weymouth.

The incident happened yesterday.

Officers from Weymouth and Portland Police moved the group on and issued some advice about the dangers of breaking into the derelict site.

A police spokesman said: “We moved on a group of youths from the old ferry terminal who had been attempting to climb over the fencing to get into the now derelict building.

“We pointed out how dangerous this was and that it’s fenced off for a reason.

“They were moved on from the area.”
