Weymouth town council’s planning committee has agreed not to object to a number of applications in the town.

The committee met on Tuesday evening.

Its neutral stance on the applications will be passed to Dorset Council which makes the final decision on planning matters.

Among the items which received no objection from the town council were: – the demolition of an existing flat and erection of two flats at 14 Abbotsbury Road; Two storey and single storey extensions 27 North Road; Two storey side extension, 16 Medway Drive; Two storey rear extension with balcony, 5 New Close Gardens; Display of one non-illuminated entrance sign (retrospective) and two flag poles to advertise house sales on land to the south of Louviers Road; Erection of a rear roof dormer extension, 104 St Mary Street; Temporary change of use of flat to office, Flat 2, former Waverley pub, 121 Abbotsbury Road; Internal alterations including relocation of kitchen and removal of shower room, 17 Trinity Street; Conversion and alteration of existing healthcare facility to six self contained flats with staff facility, 13 Roundhayes Close; Erect conservatory, 6 All Saints Road; Erection of garage/workshop, the creation of a vehicular access and the construction of a parking and turning area, 26 Windsor Road; First floor side extension and single storey rear extension, 10 Greenway Close.
