The team at Swanage Coastguard had a busy weekend dealing with a number of incidents.

On Saturday the patrol arrived at Knoll Beach in Studland to help an eight-year-old boy who had suffered a broken arm before he was taken to Poole Hospital.

Later on, before 7pm, the team was sent to Shell Bay after an 11-year-old boy dislocated his knee.

An ambulance crew gave the boy pain relief before putting his knee back in place. The team then stretchered him to the ambulance which took him to Dorchester County Hospital for an x-ray.

Sunday was also a busy day for the coastguard in this area. The first call of the day sent the team to Old Harry Rocks after a 999 call reported a man who was very ill. He was taken to hospital by the paramedics for further treatment.

The team was then sent to Knoll Beach after a yacht ran aground.

The yacht had struggled in strong winds before grounding but thankfully no one was injured.
