A WOMAN broke her leg while walking down the track to Durdle Door, leading to an emergency alert.
Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, and - due to the apparent seriousness of the injury - Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance were all called out to help.
The emergency services and an off duty GP helped stabilise the woman and move her to a stretcher. She was carried to a car and transferred to an ambulance.
It was established that the woman's injuries were not as serious as initially thought, and she was taken to Dorchester A&E.
