It's difficult to get a foot on the property ladder these days unless you're extremely lucky (or earn the big bucks).

But if like us, you enjoy a good nose on property websites, eyeing up houses you can't afford, then you might be interested to know exactly where the most expensive streets in Weymouth are.

According to property experts Zoopla, the average price of a three-bedroom house in Weymouth is £280,615.

All of Weymouth's most expensive streets are in the same two postcodes - so if you're looking for a bargain, this is where to avoid.

According to Zoopla's Zed Index these are the five most expensive streets in Weymouth:

Abbotsbury, Weymouth DT3 - £889,304

This is the average price for property in August 2019, according to Zoopla. But there has been a slight fall in property prices of 0.62% in the past three months and fall of 2.85% since 12 months ago. We're sure you agree, these houses look absolutely picture perfect. We're not jealous at all!

Watery Lane, Weymouth DT3 - £762,954

Last year, a buyer paid £1.3m for a five bedroom house in Watery Lane. Prices for other properties have ranged from £389,000 to upwards of £1.2m until last year.

Fleet Road, Fleet, Weymouth DT3 - £717,191

Fleet Road in Chickerell is right next to the scenic Dorset coastline, which may account for the high property prices. Oh, and there's also the Moonfleet Manor hotel at one end, which overlooks the world famous Chesil beach on the Jurassic coast.

Winters Lane, Portesham, Weymouth DT3 - £663,476

The village of Portesham has a monument to Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy, captain of HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. On the main street is also the 18th Century house where he lived until 1807. A house sold in Winters Lane, in 2017, for £1,075,000.

Redcliff View, Weymouth DT4 - £656,301

It's not hard to see why property prices in this street are what they are. That view, as the name suggests is stunning. Not far at all from all the amenities, the view from some properties spans across Weymouth Bay and beyond, with the main sandy beach within walking distance. Worth the money for that view alone!
