A man was taken to hospital after suffering a suspected broken leg at a beauty spot in Dorset.

The incident happened at Durdle Door this afternoon.

A spokesman for Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team said: “The team were paged at around 3pm to assist the ambulance service.

“A man had suffered a suspected broken log on the track at Durdle Door.

“Arriving on scene, the team found the casualty in the care of the Lulworth first responders.

“Ambulance crews then arrived administering pain relief to the casualty.

“A team effort saw the man transferred into the back of the first responders’ vehicle which then went on to make its way up the track.

“Further transfers saw the man make it back it into the back of the ambulance which then went on to take the man to Dorchester A and E.

“The team then stood down and returned to the station.”
