Two areas of a railway embankment caught fire.
Firefighters were called at 12.20pm yesterday.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two crews from Swanage Fire station and one crew from the Wareham Fire station attended two areas of rail embankment alight in two separate areas on the track.
"One area approximately 60 meters in size located closer to Corfe Castle was extinguished using two hose reel jets and water relay.
"Another area approximately 150 meters in size located closer to Swanage was extinguished using one hose reel jet from the off road vehicle in attendance."
