PLANS to reduce the speed limit on a series of roads in Upton have been announced by Dorset Council.
The measures from the local authority include reducing the speed from 40mph to 30mph on a 180m stretch of B3067 Dorchester Road at its junction with Policeman's Lane.
The speed limit for Policeman's Lane, and Watery Lane up to its junction with Frenchs Farm Road will also drop from 60mph to 30mph.
A dedicated 30mph limit will be introduced on Osprey Close and Poppy Close.
Dorset Council has issued a traffic regulation order for the alterations.
The changes are due to come into force on Friday, September 6.
