GREGORY Porter, international best-selling artist and two time Grammy award-winning jazz soul singing sensation, has announced a 13-date UK tour which includes a date in Bournemouth next May.

Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday, September 6.

Known for his signature flat cap and warm baritone vocals, Porter continues to perform to sell-out audiences around the world and has achieved international recognition and acclaim, with both his Grammy winning selling albums Liquid Spirit and Take Me To The Alley.

Porter, who is a regular on Jools Holland, brought his six-piece band and soulful voice to town last year to rave reviews.

A Daily Echo reviewer wrote: “The gentle Californian brings a spirit from another age yet with a modern day relevance which is no doubt one of the reasons for his success over recent years.

“He has been described as ‘a jazz singer of thrilling presence, a booming baritone with a gift for earthy refinement and soaring uplift’ and his show did not disappoint.”

Gregory Porter returns to the BIC on Monday, May 25. Ticket prices range from £60, £50 and £42.50 and are available from bhlivetickets.co.uk or the 24-hour ticket hotline on 0844 888 9991
