A LADY from Poole will be doing a sponsored full head shave to raise money for the Forest Holme Hospice.

Tiffany Watson is raising money for the charity as both of her parents, Sylvia and Tony Birch, were looked after and passed away at the hospice.

She said: “I support Forest Holme hospice because both of my parents passed away there.

“I know how painful it was losing my parents within 15 months of each other, but they made sure we were okay through counselling after.

Tiffany and her husband David have both fundraised and volunteered for Forest Holme in the past. David did a sponsored sky dive for the charity on November 10 last year whilst Tiffany has helped out at fundraisers and wrapping gifts for people

Tiffany has received £370 in person as well as £120 through her JustGiving page. The head shave will take place on Wednesday, October 16, at 10am at Forest Holme Hospice.

When asked about how she felt about it, Tiffany said she was “really excited”.

“When both of my parents were in there, they were both made to feel as comfortable as possible. After they passed, the counselling that was given to me and my sister was just brilliant.

“The Hospice is truly a place that not only helps the patients it focuses on the immediate family too. The nurses there are just on another level, they are so attentive and supportive, and they provide the best service you could ask for. The care is fantastic.

“I have never experienced such a loving and caring environment. I wish I was a millionaire so I could give them the money they deserve; they have helped me and my family so much, so this is my way of saying thank you.”
