Two coastguard teams and police officers were called to Portland over concern for the welfare of a woman on a cliff.
Dorset Police were called at 3.40pm today to assist Portland Bill and Wyke Coastguard rescue teams, after a woman was reported on a cliff near to the Young Offenders Institution.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We have now taken her to a place of safety."
