THE RSPCA has launched an appeal to find out who left a dog tied to a lamppost in Dorchester for several hours.
A female rottweiler was found in Ashley Road, Dorchester in the early hours of Sunday, September 8 by a member of the public who had spotted the dog had been left for several hours.
RSPCA inspector Marie Griffiths said: “Storm has a microchip so we know her name and that she is three years old but we have been unable to contact an owner so we do not know if she has previously been lost, or perhaps even stolen.
“It’s thought she’d been left for around three to four hours and there was no sign of an owner, or anyone coming back to claim her.
“We’re really keen to hear from anyone who recognises Storm, knows where she came from, or who knows how she came to be left alone.
“She is in good condition and a friendly and affectionate dog.”
Anyone with information about Storm is asked to call the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018.
