Anti-Brexit campaigners are urging people to sign a petition asking West Dorset MP Sir Oliver Letwin to back a second referendum on EU membership.
West Dorset for EU members will set up a street stall in Dorchester this Saturday (Sept14) where they will offer passers-by information about Brexit and their movement to keep the UK in the union.
They will also invite people to sign their petition to Sir Oliver Letwin, urging him to back a 'People's Vote'.
So far their petition has attracted about 400 signatures.
The campaigners plan to set up by the NatWest Bank on South Street at about 10.30am on Saturday.
In the petition, the campaigners say they believe Brexit would divide the country further, weaken the economy, lead to a reduction in environmental standards, undermine worker's rights protections, make it harder to recruit health and social care workers and harm the farming community.
