Police are searching for a vulnerable 68-year-old man who has gone missing from a Dorset holiday park.

Kenneth Lowndes, from Bognor Regis, was last seen at around 11pm on Wednesday, September 11 at Sandford Holiday Park near Wareham.

He was reported missing at 9.37am the next day by a member of the group he was travelling with.

Kenneth is described as white, of very large build, with short white hair and two tattoos on each forearm. He was clean shaven and was wearing blue Slazenger slip-on trainers, a navy blue raincoat and dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms.

It is believed he has very little cash with him and no mobile phone. Enquiries have been carried out in a bid to locate Kenneth and these remain ongoing.

Inspector Danny Tamblyn, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Kenneth and officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries locally.

“We know that Kenneth will use public transport such as buses and trains and is familiar with areas in Dorset such as Swanage and Bournemouth.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Kenneth or a man matching the description given to please contact Dorset Police.”
